ASTRO member Moon Bin, aged 25, has passed away, leaving everyone in shock due to the sudden news.
According to the police, Moon Bin was found dead at his home in Seoul at 8:10 PM on April 19th. His manager found him and reported it to the police.
Fantagio stated, “ASTRO member Moon Bin passed away on April 19th, and he has now become a star in the sky. Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of our beloved son, brother, and friend. Although we cannot fathom the sorrow of his family, we at Fantagio, along with all of the ASTRO members, artists, and staff, are deeply saddened by this tragic news.”
They also requested that the media refrain from speculative and malicious reports to allow Moon Bin’s grieving family to mourn and remember him in peace. The funeral will be held quietly with family, relatives, and company colleagues in accordance with the wishes of the family.
Amidst this, a video where Moon Bin revealed his recent struggles with his health is resurfacing, adding to the sadness. After the Bangkok fan concert, he said, “I have something to confess. To be honest, it was tough. I tried not to show it, but I think I did during the fan concert. I’m making an effort to recover and I’ll make sure to make Roha happy.” Sanha comforted him, saying, “What are you sorry for?”
Moon Bin and Sanha recently released their third mini-album INCENSE in January and held their first solo fan concert DIFFUSION last month. They were scheduled to perform in seven Asian cities such as Seoul, Manila, Jakarta, Tokyo, and Osaka, and three South American countries, including Santiago, Sao Paulo, and Mexico City. However, with his passing, the remaining fan concerts, including those in Macau, Tokyo, and Jakarta, were canceled. He was also scheduled to appear at the Dream Concert in May.
The funeral has been set up at Seoul Asan Hospital, and his younger sister Moon Sua from group Billy has been listed as one of the chief mourners. The procession will be held on the 22nd.
