Son Suk Ku has shared an unusual glimpse into his personal life.

On the April 14th broadcast of TV Chosun’s Huh Young Man’s Food Travel, Son Suk Ku and the show visited his hometown, Daejeon.

First, they headed to Son Suk Ku’s favorite restaurant. The actor said, “I’ve been coming here since my grandmother was alive. Even now, I bring friends and colleagues here after shooting.”

Son Suk Ku, an art school graduate who studied abroad, said, “I went to study abroad after finishing middle school. I was admitted to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.” Saying that, he took no time to draw a caricature of Huh Young Man, surprising him.

41-year-old unmarried Son Suk Ku also revealed his dream girl. He said, “I like someone bright and very funny,” and named comedian Jang Do Yeon as his ideal type.

Then, Huh Young Man and the actor visited a cold noodle restaurant that’s been open for 71 years. The mysterious woman serving them was none other than Son Suk Ku’s close friend, actress Choi Yoon Young. Choi Yoon Young said, “We first met in a project called Designated Survivor: 60 Days five years ago.” Son Suk Ku chimed in, “At that time, we met through a somewhat flirtatious relationship in the play,” to which Choi Yoon Young jokingly responded, “How did I not know that” making everyone laugh.

Getting served the noodles, Son Suk Ku said, “When my mother was pregnant with me, she came here where she had no friends to live with my father. She got depressed during pregnancy. At that time, her only joy was coming here to eat cold noodles alone.” He continued, “I think I love these cold noodles so much because I’ve been eating them since I was in her womb.”
