Son Suk Ku has been confirmed to star in an upcoming drama by the Hong Sisters, Hong Jung Eun and Hong Mi Ran.
News1 has reported that Son Suk Ku will take on the lead role in the Hong Sisters’ new drama titled Can This Love Be Translated? (literal translation).
Can This Love Be Translated? is a romantic drama that tells the story of an interpreter and a man who speak different languages of love. However, as they struggle to understand each other, their frustrations mount as their intentions are lost in translation.
The Hong Sisters, known for their successful projects such as Hotel Del Luna and Alchemy of Souls, will be writing the script for the upcoming series. Meanwhile, Yoo Young Eun, who has previously directed Queen of Mystery, How to Buy a Friend and Bloody Heart, will be in charge of the production.
Son Suk Ku will take on the role of Joo Ho Jin, a top-tier actor in South Korea who finds himself slowly falling in love with his interpreter, Cha Shin Hye, during a promotional trip abroad.
Anticipation is growing for Can This Love Be Translated? as it marks Son Suk Ku’s first foray into the romance genre.
