Son Na Eun says she is still cheering on her fellow Apink members.

In SBS’s hit drama Agent Kim Reactivated, Son played Jung Sang A, seemingly Mr. Kim’s (So Ji Sub) colleague at Sangsaeng Savings Bank before being revealed as an undercover agent assigned to monitor him.

Following the drama’s finale, So Ji Sub made headlines for gifting gold to the cast and crew.

“I received it too, but I had no idea he had given it to the entire staff,” Son said. “At first, I didn’t even realize it was gold, so I was surprised. It was incredibly warmhearted of him to take care of everyone, and it made me want to learn from him.”

Asked whether she would return for a second season, Son said nothing has been confirmed but she would be open to it.

“I’ve heard the original webtoon has a lot of fans and plenty of story left to tell,” she said. “I’d be happy to do it, and if I were given the opportunity and invited back, I’d be ready anytime.”

Son also reflected on being labeled an “idol-turned-actress.”

“It’s a fact. And it’s an experience that made me who I am today,” she said. “I don’t want to erase it, and I’m grateful for that title. Whatever the response may be, I’ll accept it humbly. My biggest task now is to build trust through my acting.”

She added, “I used to prefer what was familiar and was afraid of change. Now I’m trying to look farther ahead and see the bigger picture. That naturally gave me more courage to take on new challenges.”

Son admitted there were times when she considered giving up acting altogether.

“I think every actor goes through that,” she said. “But the process of questioning myself also helps me grow. Harsh comments do hurt, but I try not to hold on to them for too long.”

She described Agent Kim Reactivated as the start of a new chapter: “I wonder whether I’ll ever meet another project that receives this much love. I feel nothing but grateful.”

Son also addressed her absence from Apink member Yoon Bomi’s wedding.

“We were nearing the end of filming at the time, and I had another schedule,” she explained. “Apink is a team I spent many years with and made precious memories with. Whenever something good happens, I genuinely want to cheer them on. My support for them as a fan has never changed.”
