Son Heung Min has sparked online speculation after being spotted wearing a ring on his left ring finger, with some fans wondering if it could be a wedding band.
A video of the soccer star filmed by a fan quickly spread online on July 29. In the clip, Son is seen greeting fans and signing autographs while wearing a single ring on his left ring finger.
After seeing the video, some netizens pointed out that the ring appears similar to Boucheron’s “Quatre Radiant Edition Wedding Band,” a luxury ring from the French jewelry brand. The design is reportedly priced at around 9.7 million won ($7,000).
The speculation grew as some fans analyzed Son’s previous appearances, noting that he often wears the ring by itself in casual settings but pairs it with jewelry from his endorsement brands during official events.
Online reactions have been divided. Some fans shared congratulatory messages, saying things like, “It’s time for him to get married,” and “I’m curious who the person is.” Others urged caution, pointing out that Son has worn rings before and that marriage rumors based solely on a piece of jewelry may be premature.
This is not the first time Son has faced dating or marriage speculation due to his choice of accessories. Similar rumors surfaced in 2022 and 2023 but were never confirmed.
Fans have also revisited comments Son made last month on the YouTube channel God Gyu Ri, where he said he was “living each day without regret” and expressed his hope of becoming “a good father” someday.
