YG Entertainment has taken a firm stance regarding the rumors surrounding Rosé from BLACKPINK.
Drug allegations surfaced against Rose, a member of BLACKPINK, on various Chinese online communities, the day after a photo was uploaded by Burberry’s chief creative director featuring her at a party with a group of people. In the photo, an ashtray was visible on the table, leading some Chinese netizens to suspect her of drug use, and subsequently, triggering widespread drug allegations against her throughout the country.
As rumors began to circulate, fans swiftly refuted the allegations and expressed their unwavering support for Rosé.
YG Entertainment issued a statement a day after the rumors about Rosé from BLACKPINK surfaced in China, stating, “The rumors are based on false information and we will take legal action against those responsible for privacy violations and defamation of the artists.” The statement further stated that YG Entertainment is closely monitoring the originators of the rumors and will take strict legal action without showing any leniency.
