Netizens are questioning the authenticity of Kim Sae Ron‘s claim of experiencing financial difficulties, after the actress posted photos of herself working part-time at a popular franchise cafe on March 11th.
This came after she had stated during the first trial of her DUI case, which was held on March 8th, that she was facing financial hardship. Upon seeing her recent social media post, some users suspect that she may have uploaded the pictures deliberately to support her earlier claim.
However, amid such speculations, the store’s owner argued that “she has never worked in our store,” causing a stir. The coffee brand also explained that the store in the photos is located in Gyeonggi-do and that Kim Sae Ron’s friend, who quit the job in September, once worked there. They also clarified that there is no separate baking space in the store.
The lighting lamp in the photo, a NEOZ product designed by an Australian designer, also caused controversy as it costs 353 dollars on its official website.
Kim Sae Ron has hired a legal representative from a large law firm.
