According to media outlets, Lee Jun Young and Roh Jeong Eui were cast in The Wilderness.
The Wilderness is the working title of the work previously known as Concrete Utopia 2, which shares the same worldview as Concrete Utopia. Concrete Utopia is a thriller film about those who survived in a city that went to ruins after a massive earthquake. It’s also a film adaptation of the second part, “Pleasant Neighbor,” of Kim Soong Nyung’s hit-webtoon “Pleasant Outcast.” Park Seo Joon, Park Bo Young, and Lee Byung Hun had already finished filming the movie in August.
This new dystopian action movie takes place long after the time Concrete Utopia is set. Additionally, The Wilderness will be a feature debut film of martial arts director Heo Myeong Hoen, who has participated in works like The Good, The Bad, The Weird, New World, and Vincenzo. Previously, Ma Dong Seok, aka Don Lee, officially took on the lead role.
Lee Jun Young and Roh Jeong Eui will play important roles alongside Ma Dong Seok, according to various reports. Lee Jun Young is now gearing up for the release of his new Netflix movie Love and Leashes. Moreover, Roh Jeong Eui finished the drama Our Beloved Summer in success just yesterday.
Meanwhile, The Wilderness will finalize its cast and start filming in the first half of this year.
