Hyun Bin will make his big-screen comeback with Woo Min Ho’s new movie Harbin (literal title).
Woo Min Ho is well known for capturing the turbulent modern history of Korea onto the screen. He has helmed tentpole movies like Inside Men, The Drug King, and The Man Standing Next. This time, he’ll return with a spy action Harbin set in the early 1900s. It tells the story of independence fighters who risked their lives to reclaim their homeland.
Joining him in the project is never-failing actor Hyun Bin. He’ll present complex emotional acting such as anxiety and responsibility of a man living in the era where his country has disappeared against the backdrop of independence movements that makes him risk his life. Moreover, the actor will also pull off eye-catching action sequences.
Meanwhile, Harbin boasts an A-list crew, including Parasite cinematographer Hong Kyung Pyo. Hive Media Corp. that has produced Inside Men, The Man Standing Next, and Deliver Us From Evil will be in charge of the production. Harbin is expected to be a blockbuster that crosses Korea, Russia, and China.
The filming will begin in 2022.
