GOT7’s Jinyoung will star in the new revenge thriller Christmas Carol (literal title).
According to Finecut, Jinyoung was cast to take the lead in Christmas Carol, which will begin filming early next year. The film will be an action thriller about a twin who voluntarily enters a juvenile detention center to avenge the death of his brother.
Based on the Korean novel of the same name, it will paint out the realistic action and psychological thriller in a juvenile detention center where there is no escape.
For the movie, Jinyoung will play a dual role, Joo Il Woo and Joo Wol Woo. The actor shared, “I am both excited and feeling pressured before filming. Since it’s a work based on a novel, I will do my best to express the character well.”
Save Me director Kim Sung Soo penned the script himself. “Movie Christmas Carol is a movie about growth though it seems like a revenge movie. It tells the story of children trying to escape from a world where the rules of adults firmly take control.”
Meanwhile, Christmas Carol aims to start filming in early 2022 after finalizing the full cast.
