Netflix Unveils Its Korean Originals Lineup at the Global Fan Event TUDUM

Netflix introduced the Korean original content ready for release at the global fan event TUDUM held on the 25th. The list includes the drama My Name and the TV show Paik’s Spirit.

 

Hellbound (November 19th)

Hellbound is a story about a supernatural phenomenon where supernatural beings from hell appear out of nowhere to condemn people to hell. A new religious group, “New Truth Society,” uses this opportunity to take control, but some people try to uncover the group’s secret. It was praised as “the next must-see Netflix Korean series” at the 46th Toronto International Film Festival.

 

New World (November 20th)

New World is a new virtual simulation variety show that tells the story of unpredictable events, survival missions, confrontations, and reversals occurring in the world that everyone dreams of. Lee Seung Gi, Eun Ji Won, Kim Hee Chul, Jo Bo Ah, Park Na Rae, and Kai have joined the cast. Moreover, it’s a new project by Running Man director Cho Hyo Jin and writer Park Hyun Sook.

 

The Silent Sea (December)

The Silent Sea is a sci-fi series set on the Earth in 2075, devastated by the depletion of essential resources. It follows a story of elite scientists who set off for the abandoned research station on the moon to carry out a special mission. Jung Woo Sung joined the team as a producer, while Gong Yoo, Bae Doo Na, and Lee Joon took the lead.

 

Glutton & Furry (December)

Producer Kim Tae Ho’s new project Glutton & Furry is a road trip variety show. “Glutton” Rain and “Furry” Noh Hong Chul will travel on their bikes around the country to find the nation’s tastes and charms.

 

Solo Hell (December)

Solo Hell is a dating reality show that follows men and women trapped on a deserted island. Participants will hide their age, occupation, and educational background and find a mate only with their ability to survive and attractiveness. Through the show, they will present us with thrilling and exciting feelings.

 

Juvenile Justice (January 2022)

Juvenile Justice is a courtroom office drama that starts when a grumpy judge who hates juvenile offenders is newly appointed to the juvenile criminal division. Kim Hye Soo, Kim Mu Yeol, Lee Sung Min, and Lee Jung Eun will vividly portray juvenile court judges’ daily lives and worries as associate judges and head judges of the juvenile court.

 

All of Us Are Dead (January 2022)

All of Us Are Dead tells the story about people isolated in a high school with a zombie virus and those who face extreme situations as they try to save them. It is based on the webtoon of the same name. The work details the psychology of people struggling for survival in a confined space and the nature of human beings exposed to extreme fear.

 

Love and Leashes (February 2022)

Love and Leashes illustrates the unique romance between Ji Hoon, a man with a special taste, and Ji Woo, a woman who happens to come across his secret. Lee Jun Young and Seohyun will star as Ji Hoo, who has a taste he doesn’t want anyone to know about, and Ji Woo, who comes upon his secret.
