Former BTOB member Jung Il Hoon was sentenced to prison and arrested in court.

On June 10th at 2 PM KST, Seoul Central District Court sentenced Jung to two years in prison for the habitual use of illegal drugs. He was taken into custody at the spot as the court considered him a flight risk.

This 27-year-old singer was indicted without detention back in April on charges of smoking marijuana. According to the investigation, he had brought 133 million KRW (about $119,300) worth of weed from an acquaintance on 161 occasions between July 2016 and January 2019.

Last month, the prosecution demanded four years in prison and a fine of 133 million KRW for Jung.

In his final testimony, Jungappealed for leniency, saying, “I was under extreme stress while working in the entertainment industry at a young age. I tried to relieve it in the wrong way, but I will not rely on it (the wrong choice) anymore.”
