FT Island’s Lee Hong Gi Jumps Right Back to Work With ‘1976 Harlan County’ After Military Discharge

FT Island’s member and actor Lee Hong Gi will resume his career after leaving the army. He is coming back with the play 1976 Harlan County.

FNC Entertainment announced on the 19th that Lee Hong Gi might join the play 1976 Harlan County.

Hallan County 1976, starring Lee Hong-ki, is a creative musical show based on Barbara Kopple’s direct cinema Hallan County U.S.A. And it is based on the true story of the Harlan County coal-mining town, which became a milestone in the U.S. labor movement.

In the play, Lee Hong Gi plays Daniel, who is a kindhearted and pure man. Lee had already established himself as a play-actor by taking lead roles for The DaysI Loved YouThe Promise of the Day, and many more.

After being discharged from the military yesterday (April 18th K.S.T.), Lee Hong Gi chose 1976 Harlan County as the first work to resume his activities. As he already began practicing for the play, fans wonder how he will return to the stage.

1976 Harlan County will be performed at Chungmu Arts Center’s Grand Theatre from May 28th.
