Song Seung Hyun, former guitarist of the band FTISLAND, has become a father.
Song Seung Hyun announced the happy news on July 10th on Instagram, writing, “Our precious Sunshine has safely arrived.”
Sharing his excitement, he introduced his newborn son Ian, saying, “Our Ian has just come into the world, and he feels so warm and precious. I’m so happy that Ian has come into Mom and Dad’s lives.”
Song Seung Hyun also shared a heartfelt message to his son, saying, “I may still be a father who has a lot to learn, but Mom is doing very well, so don’t worry too much. Let’s grow up beautifully and healthily together. I love you, my son.”
He also expressed his gratitude to his wife, writing, “To my wife, who worked harder than anyone else, thank you for everything. I love you.”

He later thanked fans and loved ones for their congratulations, saying, “I appreciate everyone who celebrated this wonderful news with us. May you all be blessed.”
Song Seung Hyun joined FTISLAND as a guitarist in 2009 and later expanded his career into acting. After leaving the group in 2019, he announced his retirement from the entertainment industry in early 2024 and moved to the United States to begin a new chapter in his life. He married his partner in June of the same year.
