This is how far the K-dramas have come.
On the morning of the 2nd, Dramaworld 2 had its online press conference.
Dramaworld 2 centers around Claire Duncan, a geeky 20-year-old college student who is obsessed with Korean dramas. When she gets transported into her favorite show, the series follows her adventure with a touch of magic. Ha Ji Won, Henry, Liv Hewson, Sean Dulake, Bae Noori, Jung Man Sik, and Kim Sa Hee will star in the upcoming season.
Ha Ji Won plays charismatic detective Ji Won. “When I watch the first season, I was so surprised,” the actress shared. “Dramaworld is like a delicious restaurant of K-dramas. There is this charm that you can only see in Dramaworld.”
Sean Dulake added, “Even before my debut, Secret Garden was a globally popular show. That’s why I made the character Ji Won. Ha Ji Won eventually starred in the series, and it’s an honor. I wanted Hallyu Queen to star for Hallyu fans, and I’m just grateful that Ha Ji Won joined the project.”
Henry turned into Woo Sung, the main character in a Korean drama about a vampire and a tiger. To properly look like a man from a tiger tribe, Henry worked on his body for three months. He further expressed his joy, saying, “I wanted to pursue my acting career in Korea. And I finally got a chance. I was thrilled to join this project. I never had acting class, so I just did my best.”
Meanwhile, Dramaworld 2 will debut on April 2nd at 11:30 PM KST. New episodes will be unveiled every Friday and Saturday on the Lifetime channel.
