IU has topped the list in the fourth week of February at SBS’s Inkigayo as she won another trophy.
Aired on the afternoon of the 28th, SBS’ music program Inkigayo, showed IU’s “Celebrity” beating Chungha’s “Bicycle” and Kang Daniel’s “PARANOIA.” The artist once again proved her popularity by winning first place without appearing on the show.
The three hosts of the program – NCT’s Jaehyun, April’s Naeun, MONSTA X’s Minhyuk – have greeted viewers for the last time this week as they are to depart from the position. They were seen to express how bittersweet it was for them to leave after having been working together since October 2019.
Jaehyun said, “I’m leaving Inkigayo after being with it for about a year and four months. It felt weird today, since the opening. It must feel empty after this is over. I am grateful and happy for having spent my time for a year and four months with a good production team. Thank you for supporting the chemistry between Min-Na-Hyun (Minhyuk, Naeun, Jaehyun). We’ll be back with great stages.”
Naeun said that she had a great experience during those times. “Thanks to the production team. Thank you Jaehyun and Minhyuk, and I’m also grateful to the fans,” she stated. Minhyuk also confessed that time has fled so fast during his time in Inkigayo. “I’m happy to have met nice colleagues and production staff. I won’t be able to forget. I hope I can greet everyone again,” he said as he was choked up. All three of them added, “Thank you for loving ‘Min Na Hyun’,” as they got teared up.
Multiple comeback stages were presented on this day, including Sunmi’s “Tail”, SHINee’s “Heart Attack”, “Don’t Call Me”, ONF’s “Beautiful Beautiful”, Wonho’s “Lose”, and WEi’s “All Or Nothing (PROD. Jang Dae Hyeon).” N.Flying’s Lee Seung Hyub made his solo debut with “Clicker” and PIXY with “WINGS.”
