Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany Young has been cast for the musical Chicago.
“Tiffany was auditioned and cast as the main character Roxie Hart in the 21st-anniversary performance of ‘Chicago’ alongside Ivy and Min Kyung Ah,” shared the performance production company Seensee Company.
The production company, which is hosting its 21st-anniversary performance this year, cast all the roles through auditions. As a result, Tiffany and Min Kyung Ah beat out 200 other applicants to play Roxie Hart. This will be the first time in 10 years since the 2011 music FAME that Tiffany is getting on a musical stage.
Seensee Company added, “Even though she is a superstar who started the K-pop craze, she has not asked for any kind of consideration that many stars demand and has thoroughly prepared herself and participated in the audition.”
Tiffany also shared her excitement through Seensee Company, saying, “I’ve always dreamed of becoming a musical actress. And of the Top 3 roles I wanted, there’s Chicago‘s Roxie Hart. I came to Korea and went through a two-week self-quarantine just for Chicago. I hope the situation dials down quickly so I can meet the Chicago fans on stage.”
