KBS 2TV’s new Mon-Tues series River Where the Moon Rises (written by Han Ji Hoon, directed by Yoon Sang Ho) will air its first episode on Feb. 15th. The drama illustrates the pure love between Princess Pyeonggang (played by Kim So Hyun) for whom Goguryeo was everything in her life, and General Ondal (Ji Soo). As a fusion of historical drama and an imagined romance drama, the show is drawing attention to the retelling of the famous Korean story of Princess Pyeonggang of Goguryeo and General Ondal. Expectations are high for Kim So Hyun and Ji Soo’s chemistry as their romance is the main plot of the story.

More attention is drawn as the two have worked together in KBS 2TV’s Page Turner back in 2016. Their teamwork is something to keep an eye out for, as it will be renewed within the historical drama with different atmospheres and settings.

Kim So Hyun said that since it was her second work with Ji Soo, she quickly became close to him. “Ji Soo is so bright and full of personality that I always have fun on set,” she said.

Ji Soo also answered similarly, saying that he was able to go into the shoot more comfortably as it was his second time meeting her. “I felt that our collaboration in Page Turner was short, but it feels good to meet her again through River Where the Moon Rises, and this time to work together for a long while. I’m looking forward to how the drama will turn out,” he said, raising expectations for the upcoming show.

The production team of River Where the Moon Rises also said that the two are creating the best chemistry with their excellent teamwork, as much as it is their second time working together. “Please look forward to the collaboration of the two actors who always discuss with each other to better portray Pyeonggang and Ondal.”
