In an episode aired on the 17th, Minho mentioned his older brother.

As Seo Jang Hoon said, “Yunho said that there was a passionate trio in SM. U-Know Yunho, Choi Si Won, and Minho. Apparently, his passion is thanks to his brother.”

Minho also talked about his brother, “The source of my desire to win everything is from my brother. He’s only two years older than me, but he was so different from me. He used to be better than me in studying, sports, and even popularity. And the way I see it, he is better looking than I am.”

He added, “He’s the popular kind. My mom always told me to be at least half of what my brother is.” Shin Dong Yup mentioned that Minho’s brother is a physical education major from Seoul National University.

The singer and actor confessed, “I’ve never even been near the top 10 in my school. But my brother was always up there. On one hand, I was jealous, but on the other, I was annoyed. I went to the same school as him. On days like Pepero Day or Valentine’s, he would bring bundles of presents home while I only got one or two. I was so jealous of that, too.”

Minho also mentioned his father, Choi Yoon Kyum, who is a soccer coach. Minho said that he thought he had to be a soccer player and that he wanted to be one too because he ran faster than any other friends. “But my father strictly banned me from playing soccer. He didn’t want me to do it because he knew it was too hard as a job, and he knew it as he experienced it himself.”

He then went on about how he unexpectedly passed the audition. “I got accepted when I was in the first grade of middle school. I thought it was my new dream. But then my mom opposed it. So I started studying again, but I was sure about my dream in high school. After persuading my mom, I became a celebrity,” he disclosed.
