Comedian Yoon Hyung Bin has completed the first police investigation on charges of blackmailing, defamation, and threatening against an alleged victim, who will be referred to as “A”.
Yoon Hyung Bin’s side told Sports Kyunghyang on the 5th that Yoon completed the first police investigation on the 29th of last month. They revealed, “Cho Ji Hoon, who also complained of damage done by ‘A’ was also investigated.”
They added, “‘A’ was reported to file a complaint against Yoon Hyung Bin on charges of assisting assault and defamation, but has postponed police summonses for multiple times.” The comedian plans to faithfully follow future investigations so the case can be closed as soon as possible, and be informed to the public.
Earlier on the 17th of last month, ‘A’ claimed in an online community that he was abused and assaulted by members of Yoon Hyung Bin’s small theatre in Busan during 2015. He also revealed that he only received 500k won (approximately 450 USD) each month for a year and a half, while being exploited in Yoon Hyung Bin’s theatre. He exposed the comedian as he claimed, “I am suffering from an impaired hearing, panic disorder, and schizophrenia because of this.” He claims to have a recording to support his claim.
In response, Yoon Hyung Bin reputed all claims and said that they’re all “groundless rumors” as he took strict legal actions for spreading false information.
