Ji Yeon Soo, a former grid girl, confessed that she’s suffering from debt after divorcing former U-Kiss member Eli.
Recently, Ji Yeon Soo appeared on the YouTube channel “Late Night Shrine” (literal title) and opened up about her hardships to actor-turned-shaman Jung Ho Geun.
“I’m taking care of my son after the divorce,” she confessed. “The most difficult thing is the financial issues. It’s been a year since I became a credit delinquent (a person with bad credit history).”
Saying that she has been paying the debt over the past 10 years, Ji Yeon Soo revealed that she has been out of a job for a year while living in a monthly-rented apartment with her son Michael. Confessing that she has always been the “leader” and the “main bread-earner of the family since 11 years old,” she complained of how she never had a rock to lean on.
She even shared, “I even worked at a factory, and I used to be a facemask wrapper. But these days, the competition for the job has gotten so high that I can’t work even if I want to. After the social-distancing level went up to 2, there are no part-time jobs I can work. Now, I can do anything if I can make some money.” In the end, she burst into tears thinking about her son.
Jin Yeon Woo and Eli became the talk of the town when they tied the knot in 2014 despite the age gap of 11 years. However, Eli personally delivered the news of their divorce via his Instagram in November.
Meanwhile, suspicions arose that Eli, who lives with his parents in the U.S., might not have paid his alimony. The former idol has turned his social media to private.
