World’s Largest Music Streaming Platform ‘Spotify’ to Launch in Korea Early Next Year

The largest audio and music streaming platform, Spotify is to start servicing in South Korea in the first half of 2021.

Spotify announced the plan to launch in the country on December 16th. It is a global platform that provides streaming services with over 60 million tracks and 4 billion playlists.

Through Spotify, Korean users will come in access to artists around the world, and Korean artists and songs will be able to connect with over 320 million global users.

Spotify claims South Korea’s music industry as one of the fastest-growing markets. Spotify aims to be a positive influence not only towards the growth of South Korea’s domestic music streaming market, but also towards its users, fans, artists, creators, labels, and distributors.

Spotify has been introducing Korean artists and their music to fans around the world as they built hubs for diverse genres including, but not limited to, K-pop, K-hip hop, OSTs, and K-R&B.
