BTS Tops Nielsen Music’s 2020 Midyear Top 10 Best-Selling Albums (Physical + Total Sales) List

BTS reached No. 1 on the U.S. chart for best selling album of the first half of 2020.

According to Nielsen Music’s Midyear Report, BTS’ 4th full-length album ‘MAP OF THE SOUL: 7’ sold 552,000 albums and topped the “Top 10 Albums – Total Sales” list.

Nielsen Music’s Midyear Report analyzes physical album sales, digital album downloads, and audio streaming in the U.S. from January 3rd to July 2nd.

BTS also topped the “Top 10 Physical Albums” chart with 528,000 copies.

In the “Top 10 Album” chart, which accounts for album sales, stream count, and downloads, BTS’ reached No. 8 with ‘MAP OF THE SOUL: 7’ (842,000 sales).

According to Billboard, ‘MAP OF THE SOUL: 7’ was the best-selling album in the U.S. in the first half of 2020, and was also the only album to surpass 500,000 sales.
