Zico‘s recent cryptic post has ignited intense online discussion.
On the 23rd, Zico posted a lengthy message on his Instagram Story. Though the post has since been removed, it quickly spread across various online communities, attracting significant attention.
The post included enigmatic phrases such as “the foolish defense mechanism builds a fence,” “secretly neglecting the outside world,” “displeased with the mood of that lonely day,” “self-inflicted emptiness,” and “don’t let life slip away in hesitation.”
Amidst the flurry of interpretations, many recalled Zico’s previous controversy involving the “golden phone” he mentioned on a variety show in reference to Jung Joon Young’s phone. Although the rapper clarified at the time that “the phone contained only contacts of acquaintances” and urged people to refrain from making hasty assumptions as he hadn’t “communicated with them in a long time,” he still faced an onslaught of malicious comments.
Moreover, the recent resurgence of the Seungri and Jung Joon Young scandals through BBC’s Burning Sun documentary, coupled with SBS’s follow-up episode on Goo Hara’s safe theft, has further fueled online reactions.
Adding to Zico’s troubles, his post included the phrase, “countless expressions built upon my chest without filter,” where he misspelled “expressions.” This prompted ridicule, with comments such as, “Correcting spelling isn’t trolling, right?” and “I have no idea what he’s trying to say.”
However, some netizens expressed sympathy. Comments included, “It’s a personal post, so all this mocking is ust mean,” “I’m worried about him,” “It’s not something to be hounded over,” and “People seem really angry these days.”
The agency encouraged fans to actively report any suspicious activity or malicious posts related to their artists through the official KOZ Entertainment legal response channel.
