Internet personalities Juice Seyeon and K, who publicly confirmed their relationship earlier this year, are both under police investigation over allegations involving psychotropic sleeping pills.
According to police on September 1st, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul booked Juice Seyeon, K (Park Jung Kyu) and one other person on July 30th on suspicion of violating South Korea’s Narcotics Control Act.
The three are suspected of taking sleeping medication classified as a psychotropic drug.
It had previously been reported that K was being investigated over allegations that he obtained sleeping pills through a prescription issued in another person’s name. Authorities have now confirmed that Juice Seyeon was also booked as part of the same investigation.
K is suspected of having an acquaintance obtain a prescription for the psychotropic sleeping medication on his behalf before taking the pills himself.
K previously acknowledged during a personal livestream last month that he had been questioned by police in connection with the prescription issue. He said at the time that he is now receiving the medication through a proper prescription, had cooperated with the investigation and was awaiting the results.
Juice Seyeon and K, who have an 11-year age gap, went public with their relationship in April.
Juice Seyeon began her career as an internet broadcaster in 2019 and later appeared on Netflix reality show The Influencer. She also drew widespread attention in 2024 after she was spotted with HYBE chairman Bang Si Hyuk in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.
K has been active as an internet broadcaster since 2012 and currently has more than 700,000 subscribers on YouTube.
