Kim Hye Soo opened up about her personal thoughts on love and relationships.
On August 6th, a video featuring the cast of the Coupang Play series The Affair Was Just the Beginning was released on the YouTube channel PDC.
The video featured Kim Hye Soo, Cho Yeo Jeong, Kim Ji Hoon and Kim Jae Chul, who discussed the upcoming series as well as their personal concerns.
During the conversation, the host asked the cast to complete the sentence, “The affair was just the beginning. The real problem is…”
Kim Hye Soo surprised everyone with her answer: “The affair was just the beginning. The real problem is my love life.”
Cho Yeo Jeong reacted, “That’s too real,” while Kim Hye Soo jokingly asked, “Yeo Jeong, is your love life okay?” Jo replied, “Not really,” bringing laughter to the group.
Kim Jae Chul also admitted his surprise, saying, “This is the first time I’ve heard Hye Soo talk about something like this.”
However, Kim Hye Soo explained that she currently finds more happiness in meaningful conversations than romance. She shared, “I recently discovered how much fun it is to talk with colleagues and friends.”
She added, “People might think, ‘Romance at my age?’ But I believe romance is possible until the day you die.”
Kim Hye Soo said she especially enjoys spending time with people she has become close to later in life, explaining, “As we talk, I feel like that person is like me, and I am like that person. I really love that feeling.”
When the host joked that many fans still hope to see Kim Hye Soo find romance, she responded playfully, “Really?” before adding, “Then just wish for it. There are many different ways, right?”
Kim Ji Hoon continued the joke by saying, “Applications are open,” creating a fun atmosphere.
Meanwhile, The Affair Was Just the Beginning is a black comedy about two couples: an influencer couple who turn their seemingly perfect family life into a business and a doctor couple facing divorce. Their lives become connected by a secret far bigger than an affair.
