Netflix has unveiled the main poster and trailer for Single’s Inferno Season 5—and the message is clear: this season isn’t holding anything back.

Premiering globally on January 20th, the hit dating reality series once again drops a group of singles onto the isolated island of “Inferno,” where escaping means successfully coupling up. The newly released poster offers a first look at seven contestants, while the trailer teases a season defined by sharper flirting, bolder choices, and emotions that escalate fast.

The footage highlights intense physical closeness and blunt confessions like, “I think I’ll fall in love,” “How do you like being with a younger guy?” and “I want you.” Gone is subtle push-and-pull—these singles charge straight toward what they want, making for an undeniably high-voltage watch.

Returning MCs Hong Jin Kyung, Lee Da Hee, Han Hae, Kyuhyun, and Dex—now five seasons deep—were unanimous in their verdict: “Season 5 is crazy.” According to the panel, the chemistry this year is on another level.

Directors Kim Jae Won, Kim Jung Hyun, and Park Soo Ji emphasized that this season leans into ensemble storytelling rather than centering on a single breakout star. “It reminded us of ‘Love Actually,’” they explained, noting that multiple storylines unfold in parallel, each contestant carrying their own compelling narrative.

Hong Jin Kyung pointed out the unique appeal of watching emotions shift in real time within such a confined setting, while Lee Da Hee highlighted how this season’s singles are far more upfront. “Instead of playing push-and-pull or hiding their feelings, they express attraction quickly and confidently,” she said.

Kyuhyun summed up the season’s core appeal in one word: boldness. Han Hae teased a brand-new mission never before seen on Single’s Inferno, hinting that it plays a major role in shaking up emotions and alliances. And Dex offered a final hook: “The real fun is trying to guess where everyone’s heart is headed. The cast is unpredictable—and that keeps things exciting all the way to the finale.”

Single’s Inferno Season 5 premieres January 20th, exclusively on Netflix.
