Hyeri has shared her honest thoughts about recent online comments regarding her appearance following her fan meeting.
The Girl’s Day member and current actress spoke on a fan communication platform on June 16th. “Honestly, I like who I am now, but some people might think I’m not being professional,” she began.
She added, “(But I don’t understand why you have to be slim to be considered professional.)”
Hyeri also expressed her feelings toward fans, saying, “However, if Hyerumi (her fandom name) wishes, I will try my best. I’ll work out and be healthy,” and added, “All of us are beautiful just as we are.”
Hyeri held her solo fan meeting, 2026 HYERI ASIA TOUR FANMEETING IN SEOUL, on the 13th at Samsung Hall of Ewha Womans University in Seoul.
At the event, she appeared on stage in a form-fitting sleeveless dress. Some online comments focused on her midsection, with viewers suggesting it appeared more noticeable due to the outfit’s material, lighting, and camera angles.
However, photos taken the same day in a different outfit showed her slim figure without any noticeable changes.
Later, Hyeri shared behind-the-scenes photos from the fan meeting with the caption “Night Version.” In the images, she showed a confident and toned look, highlighting her overall figure despite the bold styling.
Previously, Hyeri also received similar comments after releasing water play videos last year, when some netizens questioned her appearance. Many others pointed out that it was simply an optical illusion and that the criticism was exaggerated.
This time, attention has grown as Hyeri directly addressed the comments and shared her honest feelings.
