SLL, formerly known as JTBC Studios, which is currently pursuing a sale, has unveiled its second half 2025 content lineup. With over 20 dramas and variety shows slated for release, the company is forecasting a strong performance rebound.

On June 18th, SLL announced its upcoming roster, highlighting both TV broadcast and OTT original projects. It includes titles such as The Good Man, Esquire: Lawyers Dreaming of Becoming Lawyers, My Youth, The Story of Manager Kim, Who Works for a Large Company in Seoul, Waiting for Gyeong Do, A Hundred Memories, Love Me, and The Moon Flows Over the River (all literal titles). All have reportedly secured broadcast slots on JTBC or other terrestrial networks.

Among the most highly anticipated are My Youth, starring Song Joong Ki and Chun Woo Hee, and Waiting for Gyeong Do, fronted by Park Seo Joon and Won Ji An.

The OTT lineup is just as packed, featuring original series like Cashero, The Price of Confession, Low Life, UDT: Our Neighborhood Task Force (literal title), and In the Net. International projects include The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3, set to debut July 16th on Amazon Prime Video, as well as Undertow, Task, Culinary Class Wars 2, Crime Scene Zero, Sing Again 4, and Just Makeup.

SLL stated, “We recorded 7.5 billion KRW (5.5 million USD) in operating profit on a standalone basis in 2024, achieving a turnaround to profitability.” The company is also optimistic about posting consolidated profits in 2025, largely driven by the turnaround of its overseas production arm, wiip.

Meanwhile, SLL is currently in the process of being sold by its majority stakeholder, Contentree JoongAng, which owns 53.82% of the company. While an IPO was previously considered, the studio has since pivoted to a sale due to concerns over valuation. SLL’s sale price is expected to be in the early-to-mid 1 trillion KRW (720–800 million USD) range.
