YouTube channel Hoverlab, aka Garosero Research Institute, proceeded with a broadcast about actor Kim Soo Hyun despite a court-ordered stalking injunction, prompting police to respond to the scene.
Around 7 PM on the 13th KST, police were dispatched to the Hoverlab’s office located in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. According to reports, the channel had used Kim Soo Hyun’s name and image in its thumbnail before going live—prompting some viewers to flag the broadcast as a violation of the previous court ruling, which prohibits Hoverlab CEO Kim Se Eui from engaging in stalking behavior toward the actor.
Police arrived on site and issued a verbal warning to Kim Se Eui and his team before leaving. The specific nature of the warning was not disclosed.
During the broadcast, Kim mentioned the police visit and expressed his displeasure. He claimed, “Police rang the doorbell and interrupted while we were live streaming. This is nothing short of media suppression.”
Previously, Seoul Central District Court issued a preliminary injunction on April 23rd ordering CEO Kim Se Eui to cease stalking behavior toward Kim Soo Hyun. He appealed the decision, but the court dismissed his motion.
