Ji Chang Wook has reportedly been hit with a massive back tax bill following an intensive, unannounced audit.
Field News reported today that the Seoul Regional National Tax Service’s Investigation Bureau 2 conducted an unscheduled tax audit on Ji Chang Wook around March.
According to the report, tax authorities detected clear signs of potential tax evasion or improper accounting, leading to the assessment of billions of won in back taxes—roughly equivalent to millions of U.S. dollars. The exact figure has not been disclosed.
Ji Chang Wook’s agency could not be reached for comment when contacted about the issue. The actor is currently promoting his newly released film Colony.
