Ahn Hyo Seop is lending his voice to Netflix’s upcoming global animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters, produced in collaboration with Sony Pictures Animation.

The film is a hybrid action-musical animation set in a world where globally popular K-pop girl group members live double lives—idol by day, demon hunters by night. Ahn Hyo Seop will voice the male lead, Jin Woo, a charismatic  K-pop boy group leader who plays a pivotal role in the story.

Taking on this role, Ahn challenges himself with a full English performance, showcasing not only his fluency but also his ability to deliver nuanced emotional expression through voice alone—demonstrating a new level of artistry as a global K-actor.

K-Pop Demon Hunters is helmed by directors Maggie Kang, a Korean-American filmmaker, and Chris Appelhans of Wish Dragon. With the backing of Sony Pictures Animation, known for hits like Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the project is drawing attention for its unique blend of Korean cultural identity and universal storytelling.
