Netflix has confirmed April 4th as the release date for Karma and unveiled a teaser poster and trailer that offer glimpses of the terrible karmic ties binding six characters.
Karma marks the first series from director Lee Il Hyung of A Violent Prosecutor fame and has generated significant buzz with its fresh ensemble of reliable actors, from Park Hae Soo to Shin Mina, Lee Hee Jun, Kim Sung Kyun, Lee Kwang Soo and Gong Seung Yeon.
This upcoming crime thriller depicts the story of six individuals entangled in karmic relationships they wish to escape but cannot. The released teaser poster draws attention with six characters connected by red threads. The chaotically tangled red threads, impossible to find their starting or ending point, hint at the characters’ fates bound by inescapable karmic connections, stimulating curiosity about how these threads of ill fate will unravel.

The trailer announces the beginning of this terrible karmic entanglement by showcasing the six protagonists—the Witness (Park Hae Soo), Ju Yeon (Shin Mina), the Debtor (Lee Hee Jun), Gil Ryong (Kim Sung Kyun), Glasses (Lee Kwang Soo), and Yu Jeong (Gong Seung Yeon)—cross-cutting between them against solemn background music.
The phrase “This is where we put an end to this fucked-up bond of ours” appears futile alongside the text “An inescapable fate, A karmic bond,” while images of each character standing at their own crossroads of evil make viewers wonder what circumstances have trapped them in this inescapable cycle of malevolence.
Meanwhile, Karma will be released exclusively on Netflix on Friday, April 4th.
