Kim Sae Ron has been laid to rest.
A farewell ceremony for the late Kim Sae Ron was held at the funeral home of Asan Medical Center in Seoul on February 19th.
Family, friends, and colleagues gathered to bid a tearful farewell to the late actress. The ceremony was conducted privately, following the wishes of the bereaved family.
Kim Sae Ron tragically passed away on February 16 at the age of 25. No suicide note was found, and police have classified her case as an unattended death, believing she took her own life.
Since February 17th, mourners have been visiting her funeral hall to pay their respects. Close friends from the entertainment industry, including actress Kim Bo Ra, AKMU’s Lee Su Hyun, and Han So Hee, attended the service to say their final goodbyes. Numerous condolence wreaths filled the hall, including one from actor Won Bin and his wife, Lee Na Young, whom Kim Sae Ron worked with in The Man from Nowhere.
Won Bin not only sent a condolence wreath but also personally visited the funeral hall. Reports say he was visibly distressed and ultimately broke into tears.
As the news of Kim Sae Ron’s passing spread, many fellow celebrities, including MIGYO, Solbi, Kwon Mina, Park Seul Gi, Lizzy, Kim Min Chae, Kim Su Gyeom, Jeon Hyo Sung, Seo Ye Ji, Yoo Ah Ra, Jin Seo Yeon, and Seo Yoo Jung, paid tribute by posting photos of white chrysanthemums or heartfelt messages on social media.ms.
In May 2022, Kim Sae Ron faced controversy after being involved in a drunk driving accident. She had been on a hiatus for self-reflection but was preparing for her return to acting with the film Guitar Man.
