Hwang Jung Min’s Agency Responds to Alleged Affair Allegations, Announces Legal Action

Reports that actor Hwang Jung Min’s agency was preparing a statement regarding online allegations about his personal life were briefly published before being deleted.

On July 29th, posts mentioning Hwang Jung Min spread across online communities and social media. The person who uploaded the posts claimed to have been in a romantic relationship with the actor and shared what they described as screenshots of messages and call records.

The alleged messages included a line saying, “If we had actually dated, I don’t think things would have gotten this bad.”

The writer also claimed that Hwang Jung Min continued to contact them, including during filming schedules, and allegedly suggested meeting up.

The posts included various materials, such as alleged call logs, saved contact screenshots, message conversations and references to TV appearances. The poster also made claims involving the actor’s family, filming schedules, overseas activities and private communications.

Some posts also suggested an inappropriate relationship. However, the authenticity of the claims and the materials shared online has not been confirmed, and the allegations remain the poster’s own claims.

According to MK Sports, Hwang Jung Min’s agency, Sem Company, said, “We are aware of the situation and are currently preparing our official response.” However, the report was soon deleted, leaving many curious about the situation.

Hwang Jung Min’s agency has announced plans to take strong legal action against rumors circulating online about his personal life, calling them “one-sided claims made by a stalking suspect who has continuously harassed him.”

Hwang Jung Min’s agency, Sem Company, told Segye Biz & Sports World, on July 29th that “The person who posted the malicious content is a stalking suspect who has continuously harassed Hwang Jung Min. We have already filed a criminal complaint.”

The agency explained, “The court has issued temporary measures, including a restraining order, against the suspect three times. The suspect was also found guilty of stalking and received a summary order imposing a fine of 3 million won ($2,000).”

The agency added, “We also plan to take additional legal action against posts that have been maliciously edited and distributed.”
