“Whenever I read a good script, it’s always for SBS. I feel like I’ve returned home for Sold Out on You,” said actor Ahn Hyo Seop, sharing his excitement about returning to SBS after his successful role in Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters.
Ahn attended the production presentation for SBS’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama Sold Out on You on April 15th at the SBS building in Seoul. The drama is a romantic comedy about a perfectionist farmer, Matthew Lee (played by Ahn Hyo Seop), and top show host, Dam Ye Jin (Chae Won Bin).
Ahn explained, “The title might sound like it means ‘Let’s live diligently,’ but paradoxically, it also suggests that you don’t have to,” adding, “It’s a story that global fans can enjoy.”
Ahn starred in Netflix’s animation K-Pop Demon Hunters as Jinwoo, the leader of the group Saja Boyz. He said, “I finished recording for KPop Demon Hunters before starting this drama, so I had enough time to prepare,” and emphasized, “I’ve never left Saja Boyz.”
Returning to SBS after his roles in Dr. Romantic and A Business Proposal, Ahn expressed his gratitude, saying, “I’m so thankful for the love you’ve shown my career so far. I want to focus on the present rather than feeling burdened.” He added, “I’ve worked hard to find the right balance with both romance and comedy in this drama.”
Sold Out on You will premiere on SBS at 9 PM on April 22nd.
