SHINee member Taemin has officially signed an exclusive contract with Galaxy Corporation, the company announced March 11th.
“Taemin has signed an exclusive contract with us,” the agency said in a statement. “We will fully support him so that his unique artistic abilities can create strong synergy with our advanced technology.”
Following the move, Taemin is expected to take part in various global projects that combine entertainment with technologies such as AI and robotics.
Taemin previously spent 16 years at SM Entertainment after debuting with SHINee before leaving the company in 2024. He later joined Big Planet Made Entertainment, but parted ways with the agency last month after about one year and 10 months.
At the time, reports suggested the early contract termination may have been linked to financial instability at One Hundred, the parent company of Big Planet Made Entertainment. There were also reports claiming the company’s CEO Cha Ga Won had made a serious mistake while signing a contract with an outside company.
Now with a new agency, Taemin is continuing his global activities and is set to perform at the Coachella on April 11th and April 18th.
Galaxy Corporation’s roster also includes G-Dragon, actor Song Kang Ho and singer Kim Jong Kook.
