Seo In Guk is buzzing about his upcoming Netflix series, Boyfriend on Demand, and the special bond he formed with his co-star, BLACKPINK’s Jisoo.
In a recent cover story for Singles magazine, released February 25th, the actor opened up about why he couldn’t pass up the role.
“I was first drawn to the world-building,” Seo shared, explaining that the show’s “virtual dating simulation” setting creates an emotional depth he thinks will hook audiences.
While his character, Kyungnam, is a bit of a stoic professional, Seo was quick to point out they aren’t much alike in person. “I’m not as serious as Kyungnam,” he joked, describing himself as “playful and honest” with his feelings.
He saved his highest praise for Jisoo, credited as the heart of the production. He called her “the mood-maker on set” and an actress who is “perfectly matched with the character.” According to Seo, her energy kept the cast grounded throughout filming.
Looking toward the future, Seo dubbed 2026 his “year of blooming,” noting that his work in both acting and music has helped him “understand emotions structurally.” Fans can catch him soon as he kicks off his “TWO SIDES” fan meeting tour on March 24 in Mexico, with additional stops planned across South America.
