BTS is taking its highly anticipated comeback global, teaming up with Netflix and HYBE for a worldwide live-streamed concert and a feature-length documentary.

Netflix and HYBE announced that BTS will headline a live comeback performance titled “BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG,” streaming exclusively on Netflix on March 21st at 8 PM KST. The concert will be broadcast live to audiences in more than 190 countries.

The performance will take place at Gwanghwamun Square, one of Seoul’s most iconic landmarks, timed with the release of BTS’s new album ARIRANG. To mark the group’s historic return, Netflix and HYBE joined forces to bring the moment to a global audience in real time.

The upcoming BTS’s fifth full-length album reflects on the group’s origins and evolving identity. Following the album’s release, BTS plans to embark on a massive world tour, “BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ (2026–2027),” spanning 82 shows across 34 regions, including Asia, North America, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East.

In addition to the live concert, Netflix will release a feature documentary titled BTS: The Return on March 27th. The film follows the group’s journey back to music after a three-year and nine-month hiatus. It promises a close, unfiltered view of the group’s creative process, tracing their path from global superstardom back to a shared studio space.

Directed by Bao Nguyen, known for The Stringer and The Greatest Night in Pop, and produced by This Machine, the documentary offers an intimate look at BTS as they reunite in Los Angeles to create new music. It captures the members as they reflect on how to begin again, how to honor their past without being bound by it.

The live broadcast of “BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG” also marks a milestone for Netflix. It is the platform’s first live event produced in Korea and streamed worldwide, signaling a major expansion of Netflix’s live programming. The event follows a growing lineup of live content, including WWE Raw, NFL Christmas Gameday, Paul vs Tyson, Canelo vs Crawford, and Six Kings Slam.

Netflix has also announced plans to expand its live offerings further, with upcoming broadcasts tied to MLB, the FIFA Women’s World Cup, and the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
