Dynamite Kiss wrapped its run with a tightly sealed happy ending—both in love and career—for Jang Ki Yong and Ahn Eun Jin.

According to Nielsen Korea, the finale scored a peak rating of 8.1%, with 7.0% in the Seoul metropolitan area and 6.9% nationwide, marking the show’s personal best. The series dominated its time slot and held the top spot among all weekday dramas for seven consecutive weeks.

The finale saw Gong Ji Hyeok (Jang Ki Yong) and Go Da Rim (Ahn Eun Jin) finally secure everything they had been fighting for. After obtaining key evidence from an audio recording Da Rim handed over, Ji Hyeok stepped into a shareholders’ meeting and delivered long-awaited justice to those who had wronged him—while also restoring his mother, Kim In Ae (Nam Ki Ae), to her rightful place within the company. Those responsible for the family’s suffering ultimately faced the consequences.

Just when things seemed resolved, the story took a sharp turn. Overcome with rage, Yoo Tae Young (Jung Hwan) rammed Ji Hyeok with his car, leaving him unconscious. Da Rim rushed to his side and stayed with him, hoping only that he would wake up. When Ji Hyeok finally regained consciousness a month later, he had lost all memories of their love—and once again became a man who didn’t believe in it.

Choosing Ji Hyeok over her own happiness, Da Rim quietly walked away. Time passed. Ji Hyeok felt an unexplained emptiness, while Da Rim threw herself into her work, eventually founding her own company. One year later, fate reunited them at the same party where their “dynamite kiss” first happened. They kissed again—just as explosive—and with a playful “Should we try one more time?” Ji Hyeok recovered all his memories.

From there, the ending unfolded sweetly and swiftly: dating, a proposal, and marriage. Da Rim’s career flourished as well, as she stepped into a confident, self-directed life far removed from her past. Meanwhile, Yoo Ha Young’s (Woo Davi) unrequited love for Kim Sun Woo (Kim Mu Jun) hinted at a hopeful future of her own.

The drama closed with a warm, celebratory final scene, as the cast gathered for a cheerful group dance, leaving viewers with the same bubbly charm and fluttering romance that defined Dynamite Kiss from start to finish.

While the drama generally received positive reviews, the portrayal of the male lead’s memory loss by Jang Ki Yong in the final episode sparked mixed opinions. Below are some tweets that capture the overall reactions to the series.
