As temperatures plunged this Christmas, Han Ji Min, Ahn Bo Hyun, and Changmin of TVXQ helped warm the season with generous donations to children and families in need.
Ahead of Christmas, Han Ji Min donated 100 million KRW (approx. 70,000 USD) to Seoul National University Children’s Hospital, supporting low-income pediatric patients who struggle to receive proper treatment. Her agency, BH Entertainment, shared that the donation was inspired by a recent hospital visit with her family, where seeing young patients in treatment left a lasting impression.
Ahn Bo Hyun also donated 100 million KRW to the Community Chest of Korea. The funds will help cover surgeries for children with cataracts, retinal disease, and vision impairment through the Eye Love Foundation. With the donation, Ahn became the 3800th member of the high-value donor group, the Honor Society.
On Christmas Eve, Changmin contributed 50 million KRW to Samsung Medical Center to support treatment costs for underprivileged children and teens. “Christmas should be filled with children’s laughter,” he said, expressing hope that the donation would help them recover and pursue their dreams. A longtime donor, Changmin is also a member of ChildFund Korea’s Green Noble Club.
The stars are also staying busy professionally. Han Ji Min returns February 28th in JTBC’s Efficient Dating for Singles (literal title), while Ahn Bo Hyun headlines tvN’s romantic comedy Spring Fever on January 5th, with another drama God’s Beads (literal title) already awaiting release.
This holiday season, their generosity proved that kindness is the brightest spotlight of all.
