Kim Woo Bin and Ahn Bo Hyun have been close friends for nearly 20 years, first meeting as teenagers through a university modeling program.
Ahn has repeatedly called Kim one of the most important people in his life, sharing that he supported him through his early career and was the only friend who showed up when he enlisted in the military. He was also by Kim’s side during the actor’s battle with cancer, once revealing on Radio Star that hearing Kim’s voice during treatment brought him to tears.
With that history in mind, many netizens said Ahn’s emotions were more than understandable—watching a close friend survive illness, return to work, and marry the partner who stood by him through it all.
