Lee Yi Kyung is once again at the center of a storm as the woman behind the allegations—a German national identified as A—has resurfaced to restate her claims.
A appeared in a phone interview on November 26th with the YouTube celebrity gossip “Behind Master”, insisting that “everything is true.” She said she first contacted Lee Yi Kyung in February of last year after watching one of his dramas and sending him an Instagram DM. “He replied, and that’s how we started talking,” she said, adding that their conversations “kept going every day and got increasingly sexual.”
A claimed she was especially shaken by a comment the actor allegedly made during a chat with his friends—something along the lines of “I’ll do XX to you.” She said the remark was “shocking and frightening,” and that it ultimately led her to speak out.
Earlier, A had posted screenshots on her blog—alleged sexual exchanges between her and Lee Yi Kyung—igniting widespread controversy. She later retracted everything, saying the messages were “AI-generated.” But she has now reversed herself again, explaining, “I lied because I was scared. All the evidence I posted is real.”
During the phone interview, A stressed that she came forward again because she “didn’t want there to be more victims.” She also pushed back on the agency’s assertion that she demanded money, saying, “I never did that. I only sent an email to confirm whether it was really him.”
A concluded with a message to Lee Yi Kyung: “I’m sorry for turning this into something so big, and yes, I regret that. But I hope he never says something like ‘XX’ to a woman again.”
Lee Yi Kyung’s side continues to deny every allegation. His agency, Sangyoung ENT, released statements on the 3rd and 19th, calling A’s messages “fabricated and stitched-together falsehoods” and vowing to pursue legal action without leniency. Lee Yi Kyung also wrote on his Instagram on the 21st, saying he had completed his statement as the complainant and was moving forward with charges for “blackmail and defamation through false information.”
Investigators are also accelerating efforts to verify A’s identity. A court recently issued search-and-seizure warrants for the Naver and X accounts she used, and police have started collecting related digital records. Authorities are expected to continue examining A’s real identity and the authenticity of the messages as the probe moves forward.
