Philippine entertainment powerhouse Viva Communications is moving forward with the Filipino remake of the beloved Korean film A Werewolf Boy.
Originally released in 2012, A Werewolf Boy catapulted stars Song Joong Ki and Park Bo Young to stardom, becoming the most-watched romance film in Korean box office history at the time. The story of a wild, feral boy and the young woman who teaches him to live as a human captured audiences with its poignant mix of fantasy and romance.
In the new Filipino adaptation, rising celebrity couple Rabin Angeles and Angela Muji—two of the most popular young stars among local Gen Z audiences—will take on the leading roles, marking their first major film together. Angeles will portray the werewolf boy, while Muji steps into the role originally played by Park Bo Young, adding a fresh emotional layer and local sensibility to the classic tale.
The film will also feature veteran actress Lorna Tolentino alongside a strong supporting cast, ensuring both heart and depth in the remake.

Directed by Crisanto B. Aquino (Instant Daddy, My Future You), the project will be jointly produced by Viva Films, Studio Viva, and CJ Entertainment. Staying faithful to the essence of the original, the Filipino A Werewolf Boy aims to captivate audiences with top-tier performances and cinematic visuals that blend emotional storytelling with modern style.
