Gong Myung has cleared the air regarding recent dating rumors that sparked after he was spotted at a baseball game.
The actor addressed the speculation during a press interview in Seoul on June 22nd, where he was promoting his Netflix action-comedy film, Husbands in Action. The movie features a hilarious and action-packed storyline where an ex-husband and a current husband, played by Jin Sun Kyu and Gong Myung, must reluctantly team up to rescue their kidnapped wife from a criminal syndicate.
In addition to the film, Gong Myung is gearing up for the premiere of his new MBC romance drama, Your Ground (literal title), starring alongside A-list actress Han Hyo Joo. The highly anticipated series, inspired by the classic Hollywood film Jerry Maguire, is scheduled to air this November.
The relationship rumors took off after Gong Myung and Han Hyo Joo were seen attending an LG Twins vs. SSG Landers baseball game together at Jamsil Stadium on June 11th. Photos of the two co-stars enjoying the game quickly went viral online, leading fans to speculate that their on-screen chemistry had blossomed into a real-life romance.

Gong Myung admitted he was completely caught off guard by the public reaction, sharing that he didn’t even know the dating rumors had hit the news at first. He added that even fans showed up at the stadium after seeing the report. “A fan came up to me saying they rushed over after reading the article. I was so surprised,” he said, adding that he later found articles about himself casually eating food while watching the game.
He also shared that Han Hyo Joo showed him the photos and joked about them, laughing. “The article made it look like a dating sighting, but I was glad to see many positive comments saying we look good together,” he said.
When asked if the situation helped promote the drama, Gong Myung responded, “I think it actually got people more interested.” He added that he attended the game simply to learn more about baseball, but the situation took on a life of its own online.
