Netflix’s hit reality competition Physical: Asia has surged to No. 3 on the streamer’s Global Top 10 Non-English TV Shows, proving its worldwide appeal.
Featuring top athletes from eight Asian nations, Physical: Asia premiered on October 28th and immediately ignited buzz across the globe. According to Netflix Tudum’s Top 10 rankings, the show earned 5.2 million views from October 27th–November 2nd, ranking third worldwide. It also landed in the Top 10 across 44 countries—and hit No. 1 in eight, including Korea, Thailand, Türkiye, Indonesia, Australia, and the Philippines.
As the first Physical spin-off featuring national teams, the series has thrilled audiences with its fierce matchups and raw athleticism. Episodes 5–6, released on November 4th, captured grueling death matches where every player fought to the end.

A standout moment came in the “Transporting the Shipwreck” challenge, where Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines faced elimination in a dramatic “ball-stealing” showdown. Indonesian athlete Pinna’s grit against Japan’s powerhouse Yoshio Itoi moved viewers, ending in a handshake that embodied true sportsmanship.
A team leader from one of the eliminated nations shared, “We came here with one goal, and I’m grateful for this incredible opportunity,” leaving audiences touched. Meanwhile, the victorious teams vowed to keep pushing forward, declaring, “The real battle starts now” and “It’s time to bring down Goliath.”
The intensity carried into the third quest, where six nations battled across four endurance games—Hang On for a Long Time, Holding on to the Stone Jangseung, Pass the Bag, and Jump Over Pillars. Korea’s Jang Eun Sil and Kim Min Jae impressed with strategy and composure, while Australia’s Alexandra became a fan favorite for pushing through pain to the finish.
Episodes 7–9 of Physical: Asia premiere November 11th at 5 PM KST, streaming exclusively on Netflix worldwide.
