Kim Soo Hyun is facing growing controversy over his personal life, with a past interview featuring Jo Woo Jin from the time of the movie Real resurfacing and gaining renewed attention.
Kim Soo Hyun, Sulli and Jo Woo Jin were interviewed about their film Real on the June 27, 2017, episode of SBS’s One Night of TV Entertainment. At the time, the movie was generating considerable buzz, particularly due to Sulli’s bold nude scene, her first on-screen.
The interview began with the reporter asking, “Did you sleep well last night?” When Sulli answered, “Yes, I did,” Kim Soo Hyun remarked, “You seem the most nervous here.”
When asked to briefly introduce the film, Kim Soo Hyun confidently said, “If I had to describe it in one word, I’d say it’s like a gift set.”
He continued, “It took me over three hours just to read the script for the first time. I couldn’t sleep because of it. I initially took on the project thinking I’d conquer it, but after filming 101 scenes, I was humbled.”
Jo Woo Jin then commented, “You could always tell on set how immersed Kim Soo Hyun was in this movie,” before adding sarcastically, “It was of the Kim Soo Hyun, by the Kim Soo Hyun, for the Kim Soo Hyun.” His cynical tone and expression caught viewers’ attention. Flustered, Kim Soo Hyun replied, “Woo Jin, you sound scary when you speak like that.”
Jo Woo Jin went on to say, “The most memorable character in the film for me was Song Yoo Hwa, played by Choi Jin Ri (Sulli’s real name),” seemingly praising Sulli over the film’s lead, Kim Soo Hyun.
As various controversies surrounding Kim Soo Hyun resurface, the interview video is circulating online again. Comments that once went unnoticed are now being looked at closely again.
