Moon Ga Young opened up about her bold fashion moment at the 2024 Dolce & Gabbana show in Milan—and the mindset that got her there.
The actress appeared on the April 9th episode of tvN’s You Quiz on the Block, where she reflected on her early days as a child actress. “I like waiting, and I’m good at it,” she said. “Back then, the first four episodes of a drama were usually carried by child actors, so the competition was fierce and tough.”
She continued, “I think waiting isn’t all that different from enduring. If you stay patient and hold your ground, the right moment always comes. During those waiting periods, I kept myself busy by studying, reading, and things like that.”
In February last year, Moon Ga Young turned heads at Dolce & Gabbana’s 2024 F/W Collection show in Milan, where she wore a black, lingerie-inspired see-through dress that quickly became a trending topic.
Explaining her choice, she said, “It was part of the collection, and I enjoy taking on challenges. When people think of me as someone who likes books and seems gentle, I sometimes feel this urge to shake things up—and I think that’s why I did it.”
As for what’s been on her mind lately, Moon Ga Young admitted, “They say silence is golden, but I still struggle to figure out when to speak and when to stay quiet.”
