
Korea’s undisputed style icon Lee Hyori is making a bold return to TV—this time as the main MC of a global beauty competition show.
On March 21st, Studio Slam, the production company behind Culinary Class Wars, officially announced that Lee will lead their upcoming project Top Class Makeup Survival: Just Makeup (hereafter Just Makeup) as its host.
Billed as the world’s first-ever full-scale K-beauty survival program, Just Makeup will bring together top-tier makeup artists from Korea, internationally renowned experts, and rising beauty creators for an intense competition like no other. Lee Hyori’s casting is already generating buzz. Known for her trendsetting influence across fashion and beauty, she’s long been seen as a cultural force.
Even during early production, Just Makeup received overwhelming interest from makeup artists and creators both in Korea and abroad. The recently confirmed lineup includes celebrity makeup artists, global beauty influencers, and newly rising creators, all ready to compete for the top spot.
Studio Slam, a label under SLL, has proven its versatility through hits like Sing Again and the Crime Scene series. Most recently, the studio gained international recognition with Netflix’s Culinary Class Wars, solidifying its reputation as a rising global content powerhouse.
Just Makeup is slated to premiere in the second half of 2025 on major domestic and international platforms, aiming to elevate K-beauty’s global presence and engage fans worldwide.
