Song Joong Ki and his wife, Katy Louise Saunders, have made their first joint public appearance, delighting fans with official photos from a recent charity event.
The ensemble Gaon Soloists shared footage of the couple on stage together on April 22nd, where they performed a dual narration themed around Schumann’s Kinderszenen.
The performance was a touching cross-cultural collaboration: Katy read a piece titled “My Son” in English, followed by Song Joong Ki’s Korean rendition. Their messages, which focused on courage and resilience for the next generation, reportedly captivated the audience with a blend of Katy’s elegant narration and Song Joong Ki’s signature warm tone.
This marks the couple’s first official engagement together since their marriage three years ago. The two appeared at the Seoul Arts Center on April 18th for Gaon Soloists’ 7th regular concert. Known for their philanthropic interests, the couple reportedly reached out to the organization directly to volunteer their time. Gaon Soloists is an inclusive chamber music ensemble founded in 2021 that features both musicians with disabilities and those without, performing everything from classical works to jazz and pop.
Photos from the event quickly went viral, with attendees praising the couple’s “perfect visuals.” Katy’s appearance in particular became a major talking point, with fellow actress Kim So Hyun reportedly struck by her beauty in person. After marrying in early 2023, the couple welcomed a son in June of that year and a daughter in November 2024, making Song Joong Ki a proud father of two.
